Each contestant has been assigned a code. The code consists of the
initials of the student's name (as listed on the entry form), followed by a
two-digit number. The number is the sum of the reported grade in school
and the last two digits of the reported zip code in your address on the
form. If there are two codes that are the same, the second letter in the
first name will be used. You can request a change in your code for subsequent
results by sending an email message with the two letters and two digits you
wish to use to Dr. Jorge
Alberto Calvo (be careful not to use something already assigned in this
list). Contact Dr. Calvo
if you cannot identify your code.
Each problem attempted was given a score of 0-5 using the following rubric:
| 5 |
Completely Correct |
| 4 |
Essentially Correct with minor flaw or omission |
| 3 |
Substantial Progress, but with significant flaw
or omission |
| 2 |
Some progress |
| 1 |
Little progress, but with some valid steps |
| 0 |
No progress |
A blank indicates that the problem was not attempted. Final results will be based on
both total points earned and total problems solved or essentially solved (as indicated by
a score of 4 or 5).
