The Tri-College Math contest is held each year on a rotating basis at NDSU, MSUM, and
Concordia. Each school may enter four teams. A team consists of eight members, not more
than four of whom are in the ninth grade and at least one of whom is in the seventh grade.
Students are chosen by teachers based on classroom achievement, Mathcounts testing, and
the student's previous Tri-College Math Contest scores. Team members participate in the
individual and in the team competitions. Trophies and Scholarships are awarded.
