Abstract: In July 2008, I visited Iran for ten days and gave a short course on some of my research at the Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics (IPM) in Tehran. I also conducted mathematics research with several mathematicians in Tehran and visited the historic city of Isfahan. I will discuss my experience as a US citizen working and traveling in Iran and will share photographs from my trip.
