MATH CHALLENGE PROBLEM(S) OF THE MONTH

RULES:
1. You must be an undergraduate (or high school) student.
2. Write your solution(s) clearly and be sure to show your work.
3. If you have more than one sheet of paper to submit, please secure them together and put your name on each sheet.
4. Hand in your solution(s) to Professor Ben Duncan (or mail it to him at the Department of Mathematics, North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND. 58105-5075).
5. Include your name, address and phone number with your solutions.
6. Include a copy of the original problem with your solution (either obtained from Ben Duncan or the web).

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU (THE FORTUNE AND GLORY PART):
1. Immortality: Monthly winners and yearly winners will be posted on our "Wall of Fame". Additionally, monthly and yearly winners will receive a certificate.
2. Overall (yearly) winners will receive bragging rights and a free junket to Math Fest (please contact Ben Duncan for more details).
3. And (the most important thing in it got you is) FUN!

ADDENDA:
1. Copies of the problems will be provided in a folder on Ben Duncan's door.
2. You can expect problems every two weeks or so.
